Zawtika (Jotika) has gradually developed from a small family industry, sewing and selling robes since 1994 into a very successful business. It started in Lapputta, a small town in the Nargis hit area. In 1999, near the eastern gateway of the Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon, a shop was opened to sell robes. Then, Zawtika (Jotika) robe-making factory was set up at 53, Bahan third street, Myoma ward, Bahan township, In 2006, the company had six retail outlets in Yangon, and Zawtika International Co.,Ltd. was established. In 2011, there are 10 Zawtika (Jotika) outlets all over Yangon.


Zawtika (Jotika) robes and the brand name Zawtika has gradually become recognized and is now famous for building a good brand image, and being popular with the brand slogan of “Non-exhaustion of Donation, Non-depletion of Charity : that is what Zawtika (Jotika) stands for”.


Now, Zawtika (Jotika) stands as a premium brand name among the people of Myanmar and is regarded as the trademark of donation in Myanmar by Buddhist people.


InJanuary 2011, after opening its tenth retail outlet, Zawtika (Jotika) stepped into a new business by launching a big shopping mall, MBSS - Myanmar Big Shops Shopping Mall in the area of Buddhist monasteries, near the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the landmark of Myanmar.


MBSS Mall stands not only as a “One-stop Donor Mart” for the people who want to make donations, but also as the centre of Myanmar Handicrafts and Arts with Myanmar traditional goods. As it is situated in an important religious area of Yangon, former capital city of Myanmar, many visitors including tourists and foreign residents who come to the Shwedagon Pagoda are interested and attracted to buy goods and enjoy a wonderful shopping experience in MBSS with wonderful customer service from the dutiful staff.


As a next step of Zawtika (Jotika) group, the TAB Book Centre (Books. Stationery. i-Corner) opened as the largest bookstore in Myanmar at Taw Win Centre, the biggest shopping mall in Myanmar in May, 2011. TAB sells international and local books, stationery and IT products with accessories.


To perform the objectives, missions and vision of Zawtika (Jotika) group successfully, the offices of Zawtika (Jotika) are set up with a computerized management system customized software such as - International Information System, Human Resource Management System, Inventory & Stock Management System, Accounts Management System and Budget Control System that enables us to operate at an international business level. Currently, the total work force amounts to over six hundred staff and it will grow to over 1,000 in the near future.
